Referencing the Diagramming Controls
The first thing we need to do is reference the diagramming controls.
If you prefer to use the Visual Studio WPF design surface:
- Open the Toolbox.
- Open the Mindscape tab.
- Drag the DiagramSurface icon from the Toolbox onto the designer window.
- In Solution Explorer, open the Properties folder and verify that Visual Studio has created a file named licenses.licx.
If you prefer to use the XAML editor, or if you do not see a toolbox icon, or if Visual Studio does not create a licenses.licx file:
- Add references to the Mindscape.WpfDiagramming.Foundation assembly.
- Copy licenses.licx from the Samples directory into your project’s Properties directory.
- In Solution Explorer, choose View Hidden Files, open the project’s Properties folder, right-click licenses.licx and choose Include in Project. Check that the Build Action is set to Embedded Resource.
