My serialization to JSON appears to be working, but when trying to deserialize the entity I'm getting the following: Error setting value to 'IdInternal' Is there an attribute that I can apply somewhere? Normally I do this by hand, but I'm wanting to leverage the code generation of the designer as much as possible. Any ideas or suggestions would be much appreciated Thanks Jeff |

Also, I'm not trying to actually do anything with the deserialized entity, all I need to do is read it's public properties. I'm trying to recreate a point-in-time snapshot of an object model which needs to contain a few LightSpeed entities. Thanks Jeff |

Hi Jeff, Could you provide the code you've written to do the deseralization please? IdInternal shouldn't be getting set since it's tucked away secretly inside the Entity base class. I'm guessing you've made the deserialization options quite aggressive for it to be even attempting to set that value. Once I have your code I can look at how it could be made to not set that value. Hi John-Daniel, I appreciate your response, but I think I was probably doing something very, very wrong. I was trying to use the Json.Net library and ended up getting everything to work with the standard DataContractSerializer. I was really grasping at straws there, and I apologize, but I cannot find that code, it never made its way into our SCM. If I encounter a similar situation again, I'll be sure to send it to you, but I really think it was my own issue and not related to LightSpeed at this point. Regards, Jeffrey |
