I've read few threads on this forum about the issues with DBVersion table and it seems that this issue has been fixed. But everytime i call migration on empty file I see "SQLite error (1): no such table: DBVersion" in output. Isn't it a bug ?? |

What version of LightSpeed are you using? To check this have a look at the version number of C:\Program Files (x86)\Mindscape\LightSpeed\Tools\Designer\Mindscape.LightSpeed.Migrations.dll (assuming that is your installation folder for LightSpeed). Ive had a quick check on this here and am unable to reproduce this against the current build, here are the steps I used:

Thank You for the answer. Here are my repro steps:
The connectionString variable points to a non-existing file so may be this is the reason why i see this error. |

My version is 4.0.1367.20552. |

Thanks for the clarification. That message is just being emitted because its an empty database with no DBVersion table when we check for the database version. Its not actually a problem since the next step creates the DBVersion table on seeing that it doesn't already exist.

Thank You for the answer. As I understand You assume that the database has been initialized before migration. So maybe it is a good idea to initialize it (by creating DBVersion table) before run migration. Is there a way to do thad not using SQL ?? |

We dont actually assume that which is why we handle that case by creating the DBVersion table when we encounter it not being present (we send down a SELECT version FROM DBVersion command). Because the migrations are provider neutral we have to perform everything using SQL.
