I’m proud to announce that today we have shipped the WPF Property Grid. This is a significant control for developers creating modern applications that leverage the excellent Microsoft Windows Presentation Foundation framework.

All the information about the WPF Property Grid can be found here: http://www.mindscape.co.nz/products/WPFPropertyGrid/

Over the coming days we will be posting a series of blog entries about the WPF Property Grid and how you can leverage this powerful control to help your applications “bring sexy back”.

As with all Mindscape products, you are welcome to try it out before making a decision about purchase. You will also find that the included samples and help guide are in-depth and provide a considerable amount of learning material to ensure that you get up and running quickly with the WPF Property Grid.

We welcome any feedback about this product, or suggestions for products that you would like to see us create.

Happy downloading!

  • Can you not make it a Free Version too for students like us :) ?

    This looks really promising.

    Nice work!

  • Hi JD,

I am not able to download the trial :(

Is it available for download? The Download page does say ‘Thank You for dowloanding’ but I dont get any prompt to save the file.

    Thanks,

  • Hi Chakkaradeep,

Thanks for the comments. If you need a full version for a university project then send me an email, we would be happy to help you out.

It is available to download and it works for me. There is a bit of JavaScript that tracks the download with Google Analytics and another bit that loads the thank-you page.

I’ve made some small tweaks to the ordering of the scripts, let me know if you have any issues. So far the download count has been really pleasing. I’ll do some more digging though – what browser are you using and are you using any plugins like firebug?

    Cheers,

    John-Daniel

  • Hi JD,

    Thanks for the reply :)

I have to try the trial version and will email you. I am in need of something like this for my project :D

I found the problem with the download. For some reason, my Kaspersky Internet Security (KIS) blocked the download. Don’t know why. I disabled KIS, and I immediately got the download prompt :)

  • Hi JD, I have been looking for this control for 6 months and was just sitting down to start writing it. Your timing is beautiful! I just downloaded it and am trying it out. I’m building an application right now that requires non-standard Windows styling. I see that you have some great styles (Blend-like, Office-like). Are you making these available?

  • Hi Jason,

Thanks for your comment, I’m glad to know we can help you out :-)

The styles you are talking about are included in the templating sample that is included with the installer. There are about 5 different styles and they will give you a good understanding of how to do basic styling (more extreme styling is possible, such is the power of WPF!).

Let me know if there is anything else we can help with.

    Cheers,

    John-Daniel

  • Beautiful! I looked through the samples hoping to find these and somehow (it was late…) I missed the templating one. After looking at the templating samples, I can only say “WOW!”. I am especially impressed with the ability to make the property groups different groups in a settings-dialog style, at least from a function standpoint. The style abilities are incredible. Absolutely amazing.

    Thanks again,
    -jason

  • Thanks for the kind words Jason, we really appreciate your feedback!

    Cheers,

    John-Daniel
