I think this started happening after the last few releases, I'm on the latest version. I have one LESS file with about 830 LOC and it's taking, literally, 10-15 seconds to compile when I hit Save. This solution I'm in has, probably, over 100 LESS files in it in total, but the file in question is a single LESS file with no imports or dependencies. So, I'm wondering if for some reason WW is processing other files or checking them even when I only want to save a single file. I've created a blank project to test with (no other LESS files), and it compiles the same file fast without any delay. I then pasted in a subset (of maybe 50+) LESS files and it then hit Save on the individual standalone file, and it again started to take awhile (only a few seconds but definitely more than when there were no other LESS files in the project). Is WW optimized for single file saves? I don't think it should be processing any other files than the one I'm editing (and it's dependencies) but it really doesn't seem that way. Reproduce
I can provide the test files but they are production files so I don't want to post them publicly. Thanks! |
