Just testing the tool with a very simple .less one liner: body { width: 600px; } That's what I get in my .css file: /* System.IO.PathTooLongException: The specified path, file name, or both are too long. The fully qualified file name must be less than 260 characters, and the directory name must be less than 248 characters.

The issue will be the path we want to use by default (under your AppData/Local/Temp location) for the temporary folder to extract files to is too long according to Windows. You can specify a temp folder location manually by setting the "Temp Folder" property under Tools/Options/Web Workbench under the Environment section to resolve this.
