Hi Guys, I have installed the Web WorkBench Pro in my windows 8 for Visual Studio 2012. I have added a new Sass file into one my test ASP.NET MVC project. It does generate the expected css files if i just save it empty but as soon as i try typing any thing, the visual studios crash and i have to restart the VS. It has happened everytime since i have installed workbench. Can you let me know whats causing it? |

We have typically seen problems like this with conflicting extensions. What other extensions do you have installed?

I have same problem and i have installed: Microsoft Web Developer Tools (1.0.30710.0) MySQL Tools for Visual Studio (6.5) NuGet Package Manager (2.0.30625.9003) Snippet Designer (1.5.0 By Matthew Manela) (disabled) Visual Studio Extensions for Windows Library (1.0.8514.0) Resharper 7 (disabled) |

Can you please trigger a crash and then upload your ActivityLog.xml file (should be located in %AppData%Roaming\Microsoft\VisualStudio\11.0\ActivityLog.xml) as this will hopefully will contain the details of the exception which we can use to try and debug this further.

Hi Jaremy, Thanks for coming back, although i can trigger crash with every keystroke but cannot find the activity log however i am attaching the screen shot while it has happened. Also forget to mention i am using Parallels with Windows8. |

Thanks for the screenshot however unfortunately we will need some more detail to try and diagnose what is occuring here which I am hoping will be in the ActivityLog file. Have you located the folder mentioned above? There should definitely be a file present as its created and appended to generally by Visual Studio as well as recording any crash details.

At last i manage to create the activity log however i still cant see anything in the log. I am attaching the log for your inspection. Just additional information, i have bought the licenses for my team and most of the guys are running fine with same addins which i have mentioned previously. The only difference is i am running under virtual machine with my parallel. |

Thanks for sending this through. Unfortunately as you have already determined there isnt any exception info in there so unfortunately there isnt really much more we can do at this stage since we wont be able to determine how this is being triggered and if its something in WW code directly or something else thats being affected by having WW enabled. If you can keep checking the ActivityLog.xml after a crash and if you do find something there please send this through - just do a search for the word "Exception"
