Hi Ivan, I am having a problem with property changed events from a standard edit field (no special editor). I have 2 cases. One that works and one that doesn't. I tried to include an image, but I haven't figured out how to do this on your web site. Case 1: I have 3 properties at the tope level: 2 combo boxes and one text control. When I edit the text, each charecter press sends the prop changed event. Fine. Case 2: 2 combo boxes at the top level. Then I have an 2 text boxes contained in another observable class. When I open the expander and edit either text box I never get the prop changed events. I am disecting the samples at this moment to see if they work, but I was hoping I was doing something stupid and you would be able to steer me. |

Hi capmusic, You can attach files via the Options tab. There's also a toolbar button in the editor called "insert/edit image" (in the fourth group, between the link buttons and the smiley face). I am not quite sure I understand the situation. Is it that your object has a property which is itself of class type and has two string subproperties? If this is the case, the text boxes should definitely work and edit the subproperties. But note that property changed events will be sent only for the string properties on the subobject, NOT the class property on the top object (because that property is still referring to the same subobject instance.) I.e.: rootObject.SubObject.PropertyChanged += ...; // will fire when you edit a subobject property If this isn't the issue, let me know -- as you've guessed, a picture or a small sample app would be useful -- thanks! |
