I am using Web Workbench 3.2.1144.23109 in Visual Studio Premium 2012 and Visual Studio Premium 2013. In VS 2013, if I edit a JavaScript file that is supposed to be combined with other files and minified, nothing happens when I save the edit. The .combined.js and .min.js files do not change. If I open the same project in VS 2012 and edit the same file, the combined and min files get updated as expected. The project is using source control through VSS, so the files may have been read-only at some point and not checked out properly, but I have the same issues after I make sure all of the JavaScript files are checked out as well. TL;DR: So, it is working for me in VS 2012 but not VS 2013, with everything else being equal, as far as I can tell. I have tried reinstalling Web Workbench, removing all of the Imports connected with the file and re-adding them, turning off and on the minify option for the file, and but nothing seems to fix the issue. |

Can you please send us through a repro project where this behavior occurs and we can have a look into whats going on here. Ive tried reproducing this on a couple of machines here but it is picking up the changes and calling out to minify correctly. Another thing to check is if you have any other extensions installed if disabling any of them resolves this.

I made a copy of the solution locally and the copy worked fine while the original still didn't work. Then, I opened the solution in VS2013 from another machine and it worked fine. Next, I went back to the original machine... and it worked fine. I have had this occur in a totally separate solution and have had it happen on the second machine. My best guess is still that it is an issue with TFS check-outs in slow or spotty network conditions. Our TFS server is a slow machine in a distant data center, so sometimes check-outs take a few extra seconds... Normally, I have Telerik's JustCode extension installed, but I had removed it recently just to see if it was causing this issue. (It's getting re-installed now.) The rest of my extensions are default MS ones. Since I can't even repro it, I'll hold off on sending you anything. I'm really just hopeful that someone else has seen this happen so we can get some better clues. Thanks, Bryan |

Thanks, Ill have a poke on the assumption its a read-only type problem, let me know if you find any more insights.
