I have the free version of Web Workbench installed. Whenever I try to save a .less file "Save File As" dialog pops up. If I click Save in this dialog (and then confirm I want to replace existing file), I get an error "Operation is not valid due to the current state of the object." (see attached screenshot). Saving works fine with Web Workbench disabled. I was thinking up upgrading to Pro version mainly for format document support (I use Chirpy for compilation). But with this bug Web Workbench is not usable for me. |

Some more info on this. It happens when the project is under TFS. Saving works fine for my Website projects that aren't under TFS. |

Thanks for reporting this. If you have the .less file checked out before you do the save, do you still get the problem? (We're not suggesting this as a long term solution, just trying to understand more about where the error might be coming from.) |

Yes, the file I am trying to save is checked out. Some more info that might help. I fired up procmon and found that devenv.exe is trying to access other .less and .css files as well in the same folder when I try to save. These files are not checked out though. That looked a bit odd to me. BTW, I did this with chirpy disabled to isolate the issue. |

Thanks for the extra info. We check other .less files to see if they import the file you have just modified, so we can rebuild them if they do. This could result in prompts to check out the .css files of dependent files, but should not result in a failure to save the original .less file, or in any attempt to save other .less files. |

But the free version isn't supposed to compile.. right? All I need it syntax highlighting and intellisense. |

Hi Saurabh, We're not having any luck reproducing this, but I've committed a change which does the exclusion check a bit earlier in the save cycle and hopefully this will get around the problem. Unfortunately nightly builds are currently available only to Pro customers, but we can email you a preview build so you can see if the fix works in your scenario -- let us know what the best email address to send it to is (note some mail providers may filter out VSIX files because they are zip files containing executables). |

Thanks, you can sent it to [deleted]. |

Okay, it's on its way. |

That fixed it. Thanks for the fast support! |
