I've been editing less files a lot lately and the outlining behavior of WW is quite annoying. Basically it will automatically expand blocks even when they are not edited directly. For instance, pasting in some text will cause any connected blocks (i.e. that are not separated by a blank line from where the text is pasted) to expand. It really should never change my outlining like that automatically. |

Any comments on this one? Ivan? :) |

We're aware of an issue with this and we have spent some time investigating but it's not an easy fix I'm afraid. (We think it's a race condition between Visual Studio wanting to update the outline regions and us re-parsing in the background so as not to block the UI.) It is on the radar to have another look but we don't have a timescale to fix I'm afraid -- sorry! |

Thanks for the update. Please see if you can bump this issue in priority - having collapsed regions expand moves the view around and it's easy to lose a lot of time navigating back to where you were, not to mention that you have to collapse stuff again. The editor also often goes haywire if you type in an opening brace "{". It's like the parser implodes and leaves half the file without syntax highlighting, then moves the cursor to the bottom of the file, and expands a bunch of regions just to make sure you're totally lost ;) Btw, is there any keyboard shortcut to collapse regions apart from Ctrl-M-L? |
