Hello, I'm looking for CoffeeScript syntax highlighting in Visual Studio. Web workbench looks good for that, however, my company has a large investment in Node to compile the CoffeeScript to JS; I don't want Web Workbench to interfere with that. My question is, is it possible to use Web Workbench only for syntax highlighting, and disable any "generate the JavaScript" sort of functionality? Since we're already using a 3rd party tool to do the Coffee compilation, I just want Web Workbench for the syntax highlighting. Possible? |

Yep sure can - just go into the Mindscape menu, Web Workbench settings and then uncheck "Compile" for each of your .coffee files. These settings get saved against the items in the project file so they will be shared by all developers on your project.

The problem is that whenever you add a new file, or even rename an existing one (!), you have to go to settings and check the checkbox. This is annoying. I would really prefer a global setting for this. |

A feature that would make me purchase the Pro version:
Such a feature would greatly help those of us using MindScape as a syntax highlighting and VS integration tool, but don't need the compilation features. (i.e. those of us running Node ourselves to compile.) |

Plus one for the feature (and for pro version) as a global setting. However I would still want it to compile the coffeescript to ensure no bugs had been added, but just remove the resulting .js file. |

Hi guys, Just to let you know we have added a number of new options which are available in the current nightly builds which allow you to control at a global level what files get emitted for CoffeeScript (and the other file types) and to globally disable compilation if required.
