I have a simple window that has a RichTextBox and a RichTextToolBar. At runtime I get an exception: The invocation of the constructor on type 'Mindscape.WpfElements.PaletteColorPicker' that matches the specified binding constraints threw an exception. The inner exception is a LicenseException "No License Installed". I have all of the .lic files in the same directory as the WPFElements.dll including PaletteColorPicker.lic. Any ideas? Thanks, David |

Visual Studio needs a file called licenses.licx to tell it which .lic files to load. When you drag a licensed control onto the WPF designer, it creates licenses.licx and adds an entry for that control, but it doesn't figure out that the control has dependencies which may also be licensed. So you need to add those dependencies manually to the licenses.licx file. If the only third-party controls you are using are from WPF Elements, the easiest way to do this is to copy licenses.licx from one of the WPF Elements sample projects. This contains entries for all WPF Elements controls. Copy licenses.licx file into your project's Properties folder, over the top of the Visual Studio generated one. If you are using other vendors' controls as well, then you will need to merge the WPF Elements licenses.licx into the generated one. Open the licenses.licx from a WPF Elements sample project in a text editor, and copy the contents into your project's Properties\licenses.licx file. Let us know if you still run into problems. |
