I just installed the free Web Workbench 3.2.528.21592 and restarted VS 2010. However, I am getting no colors in LESS at all. Do I need to enable something somewhere? |

What other extensions do you have installed? In particular do you have Chirpy or Web Essentials installed as these are known to conflict with Web Workbench. Also are you seeing a Mindscape menu item in the top menu?

I do not have either Chirpy or Web Essentials. Here is what I do have... http://screencast.com/t/af3GVXEoP4rZ I do have the Mindscape menu. |

Do you still get no highlighting if you create a new .less file and paste in something like:
Also can you check your color settings for under Fonts and Colors for the items prefixed with "CSS" e.g. "CSS Selector".

New .less file; pasted code; still no coloring. My CSS colors are configured, as demonstrated by opening a .css in the editor. http://screencast.com/t/ZdGQ9zAU61VO |

Thanks for the extra detail - the symptoms you are seeing are fairly consistent with the MEF components we use not being registered correctly. Can you try un-installing and verifying that the extension is gone and then try re-installing.

Jeremy, I uninstalled; restarted VS; Mindscape was gone. Then I reinstalled from the Online Gallery; restarted VS. Mindscape is there, but still no .less coloring. Interestingly, I do seem to get .coffee coloring. |

Thats very odd that the CoffeeScript components are working but the Sass/Less ones are not - they use the same infrastructure. This somewhat points to something else interfereing with the registration of the plugin for .less and .scss which could be from an extension conflict so you could try uninstalling all other extensions (that are possible to uninstall) and see if that makes a difference but we have typically seen this issue with Chirpy and Web Essentials not the ones you listed earlier. Unfortunately short of attaching a debugger on your local machine I am out of ideas as to what the problem might be here as this is not something we have seen before. We have heard of other strange issues where the plugin would not load which were solves by a re-install of Visual Studio but I dont really have a way of knowing if this is the same issue and I would be extremely hestitant to suggest re-installing Visual Studio without better cause. Sorry we cant be of more help here.
