Hi, I'm using Bourbon for Sass ( http://thoughtbot.com/bourbon/) which is essentially a library of mixins. I've noticed that some of them (like the CSS3 linear gradient mixin: https://github.com/thoughtbot/bourbon/blob/master/app/assets/stylesheets/css3/linear-gradient.scss) contain reference to a function called compact. It looks to me like this is a part of Compass http://compass-style.org/index/functions/ - under the Compass functions heading) and it works fine when using self contained SASS compilers like Scout. However, in Web Workbench this function doesn't do anything, so Any ideas what might be going on there? Thanks a lot, Adrian. |

Are you using a Compass project within Web Workbench or have you manually referenced the Compass libraries?

I've manually referenced them using Thanks |

That will be the problem then :) In the doc's you referenced compact was listed as a ruby based function so these will be included when using the Compass compiler rather than the standard Sass compiler. To use the Ruby compiler you will need to convert your project into a Compass project - see step 1 on this blog post for an example: http://www.mindscapehq.com/blog/index.php/2012/10/04/working-with-compass-web-workbench-to-create-button-sprites-within-visual-studio/ Once you have converted over to a Compass project just make sure your .scss files are placed under the /sass folder structure to be picked up by the Compass compiler.

Ok. Perhaps it'd be a good idea to include this in the getting started guide? Thanks for your help! Adrian. |

Is there a way to use the Ruby compiler without having to use a seperate sass and css folder? I'd like to use compass but have the sass and outputted css files in the same directory. Is this possible? |

@victorfoster - If you are using the Compass compiler it handles the output locations via the config.rb file. You can now modify this in the recent nightlies to specify an updated output folder so you would have your cssdir and sassdir set to the same value.

Thanks for the response, Jeremy. This is fantastic news. Where do I find the nightlies? |

If you have a subscription these are available under the Downloads accessible from your My Account page. If not then you will need to wait for the next gallery update for this to be included Im afraid. We are planning to put out a new version of WW in the next few weeks so its not likely that we will be updating the gallery between now and then.
