Is there a way to turn off the ability to change the start and end time individually with the time explorer? I want to set it up to only allow changing the start and end time together. Also do you have an example of a custom styling for the time explorer? |

Hi there, Just to clarify, are you wanting to disable the left and right thumb buttons, so the selected area is of a fixed size and can only be panned using the horizontal slider on the bottom? Or, would you like it so when the left thumb button (showing the RangeStartTime) is dragged to the left the right side (showing the RangeEndTime) also expands to the right - or something else if I've misunderstood? The base styling for the control is included (for instance in OfficeBlue.DateTimeControls.xaml), which you can base your custom style on. This is included free with all versions including the 60 day trial. |

Hello Dervin We have now added a CanEditRangeMagnitude property to the TimeExplorer. If you set this to false, the start and end thumbs of the time range will not be visible - so the user can only pan the range window. This property will be available in the next nightly build. The next nightly build will be available at around 1200 GMT (about 14 hours from now). Nightly builds can be downloaded from here: http://www.mindscapehq.com/products/wpfelements/nightly-builds You can find all the code for our themes in the Themes folder - even in the free trial version. This can be found at the install directory Mindscape/WPF Elements/Themes. A shortcut to the install directory can be found in the start menu. Look at the bottom of one of the xaml files that ends with .DateTimeControls for the TimeExplorer styles which you can copy and modify to make your own style. Let us know if you have further questions about any of this. Jason Fauchelle |
