When I try to save a .less or .js file, I get a SaveAs dialog box followed by an 'Operation is not valid due to the current state of the object' error dialog. I started getting this issue when I updated to the latest pro version today(v 3.2.761.22458), but not sure if its related. I'm not sure what kind of debug information you need from me, I've uninstalled this update and downloaded the latest file from your download page, however this version is pretty old (3.2.365.20929) so now I can't use "new" less features, like @import-once. Where can I find and download different release builds? Thank you. Feature request Off topic, I would LOVE if workbench could organize the less output, for example put all media the end of the document (maybe even merge if same media query exists through different files). Edit: spelling, provided version of the software. |

Did the problem go away with the earlier version when you installed it? With the files you are saving are they read-only on disk or under some kind of source control? Would you be able to send us a screenshot and copy/paste any information you can out of the error dialog you are seeing as that will help us better understand what might be causing the problem.

Yes, the problem went away with 3.2.365.20929, which I downloaded from the "pro" area. However this release is "really old" and I would appreciate if you in the future would upload all your versions so we can easily roll back, a feature which visual studio gallery lacks, at least for us paying customers. I've upgraded to the latest version of workbench and I've managed to recreate the bug in a vanilla project(no IIS, no version control), I can send you the project files, but I'm not sure if you want me to upload it as an attachment or send it via email? I'm not really sure if a screenshot would help. Steps I used to recreate this error:
Even if I delete this @import-once statement, I will still get this error on the "Less1.less". I need to restart VS to be able to save Less1.less again. Since I don't see any other threads regarding this problem, I'm guessing this bug is only featured on certain machines (possibly only mine) So here is me trying to give you as much info about my setup. Thanks for the extra detail, I believe I have tracked down the cause of this and I have included a fix which will be available in the next nightly build for you. Let me know how you get on once you have a chance to update. In terms of retaining the historical versions, this is a good suggestion and I will look at adding these to the store downloadables as we update the versions in the future.
