Is it possible to extend the out of the box rich text toolbar buttons to include bullets and numbering? |

Hello David Yes this is possible. The main thing you need to do is create a custom style that includes the extra buttons. To do this, start by going to the Themes folder in the install directory and look for any file that ends with .RichTextToolBox. The layout of the toolbar itself is defined right at the bottom of the file. You can copy this into your own resource dictionary and modify it to include new buttons, remove buttons you don't need and rearrange the buttons if you like. Your resource dictionary will need to include our resource dictionary that you copy. e.g. OfficeBlue or Alloy etc. Next you need to connect the buttons up to perform the list actions. There are many ways to do this. I would recommend making commands that you set on the buttons, then extend the RichTextToolBar control and bind the commands in the constructor. In the execute functions, you can get the RichTextBox that the toolbar is attached to and add/remove/modify lists. Jason Fauchelle |
