Currently the only Color Theme's that i can see the syntax color's on, for the most part, are Blue & Light. But Dark, my usually Color Theme, makes the some of the syntax hard to see.
I dont expect you to change your whole system, just allow the developer to choose their own color syntax for each of the types recognized. Much like you can do in VS2012 for the various types (Comments, Descriptors, Access Modifiers, etc).
One of three location i would think you would be able to modify the settings would be:

Hello goldbishop For scss editing, you can use the built in VS options to change the colors - it uses the same color variables as css. Go to Tools -> Options, then Environment->Fonts and Colors. With "Text Editor" selected in the combo box at the top, scroll the "Display items" section to find the options starting with "CSS". Let me know if some colors seem to be missing. -Jason Fauchelle |
