Hi Again, I know I've brought the issue of One to One and One to Zero relationships up before. I have of course been implementing them by placing dumby entity collections on the other side. I'm hoping for a more elegant solution. Like 1-1s could just have entity holders on each side and for LS's own maintainence of cascading deletes and null setting why not auto-gen the entity collection on TypeModel loading. I'd like to add that I've now had my first LightSpeed converted system up for the last few weeks and the users DO notice a great speed improvement over the previous system. So I am also sensitive to anything that could slow things down (Although in the managed world CodeGen is almost now a necassary way of life). Thanks and I can't wait for the next version, Kavan |

Hi Kavan, Great to hear you are progressing well. With respect to 1-1s, how are you modeling it in the db? Cheers, Andrew. |

Hi Andrew, In most situations, it is setup as an FK in each table. The semantics of the relationship is such that the optional 1-1s belong to a single master record, so the actual extension records should follow cascade deletes of the master, but the master should never follow cascades of the extension record. Thanks, Kavan |

That's great! Are these changes available through the latest nightly build. Also, I can't seem to find the download link for the nightly builds. Kavan |

Hi Kavan, Hopefully you grabbed this in LightSpeed 1.2 when we released it. For anyone else following up on this thread, the nightly builds for commercial customers can be found on your account page in the store (www.mindscape.co.nz/store/MyAccount.aspx). Hope that helps, John-Daniel |
