I am looking for a way to change the base class of the generated unit of work to derive from an existing UnitOfWork which is generated from a separated model file. The idea is that I have a base model which has core entities and that can be extended by building models on top of the base framework entities. In the DataContext.vm I see a nvelocity variable $baseUowType is defined for the base type but I can't see anywhere in the model designer that can be used to set this variable. Is this variable just for internal use or is there some way of accomplishing this. Thanks. |

The variable is set locally in the template files so you can redefine it there. Your best bet would be to create project specific templates and then adjust that variable to suit that project. Here is a link to a blog post which covers how to set this up: http://www.mindscapehq.com/blog/index.php/2009/09/16/customising-lightspeed-entity-templates/ The definition itself is on line 1 of DataContext.vm: #set ($baseUowType = "Mindscape.LightSpeed.UnitOfWork")
