identity tracking

Hi,

I have an already made database and I want to add Identity tracking to it e.g CreatedBy,DeletedBy,UpdatedBy

is there any prefered way to day that without manually adding these fields to the database?

I tried to manually adding these fields to a table to test the functionality, but its not working

I'm sure I'm missing something

my code is :

KontikiContext.AuditInfoMode = Mindscape.LightSpeed.Audit.AuditInfoMode.Custom;
KontikiContext.CustomAuditInfoStrategy = new FixedAuditInfoStrategy("test");

what is the problem?
