I see Standard, Professional and Enterprise Editions listed in the Buy Now page, but I can seem to find any description that identifies what the differences are between the product versions. Any help is appreciated. |

Hi, The details about the editions are on the bottom of the main LightSpeed page (http://www.mindscape.co.nz/products/lightspeed/) however they can be a bit difficult to spot so we'll review this. Effectively the differences are: Express: Free, up to 8 models support in your domain model I hope this helps, John-Daniel |

Thank you - crystal clear. |

Licensing looks straight forward but after seeing your clarification on the licensing per IP approach on the other thread, I'm still not quite clear, so here is my example: I go ahead and purchase LightSpeed Professional for my company and we use it to build applications we sell to our customers. So, I have to purchase additional license for each customer that purchases my application. Going further, assuming my customer runs my application on many servers (different IPs), do I Correctly understand that I need a separate LightSpeed license for each server?
Thank you for clarification. Btw, great product!

Hi Srdjan, I could be wrong but I think you may be confusing the definition of IP. Our licensing is not in relation to IP addresses but Intellectual Property. This usually means who owns the source code. I think from your example that you are building a product that you own that you sell (similar to the Microsoft selling Windows example). If this is the case then you just need to purchase a license for your company once. You can then redistribute the binaries for LightSpeed with your product without issues. If you would like to discuss the specifics of your licensing requirements please feel free to email me at jd@mindscape.co.nz. I hope that helps, John-Daniel |

you are right, I did confuse definition of IP on that thread. Your licensing is as I expected, and it is just fine, I'll proceed with my purchase... Thank you. Srdjan |
