We’re currently looking into an upgrade of our MySQL environment and are considering using MariaDB or Percona instead of Oracle MySQL. I was just wondering if anyone else has tried this before with LightSpeed? As I understand it, the only likely complication would be if LightSpeed performs some kind of version check against the MySQL database in order to determine the available feature-set but I’d be interested to hear any experiences using these alternatives and any information about the level of support we could expect from LightSpeed if things go pear shaped. Hi Chris, We dont perform any "version check", the expected feature set etc is determined by the provider selection. I wouldn't expect any issues with using either of those variants.
