Now, granted, I did do a quick test here. Im using Visual Studio 2008. I performed the following: - installed the product - added a new lsmodel to an existing project (C# library project) - chose the Database provider of MySQL5 - created a "Connection String" for the small DB in MySQL (8 tables) - Dragged all the tables into the model - Deleted a realtionship and created a new one (it was going the wrong way) - tried to "Update Database..." but got an error "This database provider does not support deleting reference columns"
I installed the nightly build of 2nd July 2008 and it is still failing
Im not sure what Im doing wrong here. And it might be a case of RTFM. I thought I'd try the forums first. Thanks in advance, Alfred |

Hello Alfred, At the moment our MySQL support still has the limitation that we cannot automatically delete relationships from the database. (We can add them, but we can't delete them again.) You will instead need to delete the column and associated foreign key using MySQL Administrator or your preferred admin tool. For the record, the limitations to "Update Database" in the current nightlies are: MySQL Can't delete relationships SQLite Can't add relationships Hope this clarifies things! |
