When using SQLServerCE and bit fields for boolean data, True, and False are generated instead of 1 and 0. eg:the SQLstatement below was gegenated with True, and False, after changing it to 1 and 0, it worked. Im using last nights build.
INSERT INTO Uitrol |

Is your issue that the SQL from the log can't be pasted into a query window and executed directly, or are you actually seeing a problem with saving data from LightSpeed? I am seeing the first, but not the second. If the former, this occurs because the log produces "diagnostic" SQL. It is there so you can see what LightSpeed is doing, but behind the scenes we are actually executing a proper parameterised query, and substituting the parameter values to produce the log. We therefore cannot guarantee that the logged SQL will necessarily be directly executable. In this case, the parameters are booleans, and the SQL CE ADO.NET driver translates these boolean parameters into the bit values expected by SQL CE, but evidently the CE SQL parser does not perform the same translation. This is probably not something we would want to address because translations like this are opaque to us; if it is important to you then let us know what you need it for (e.g. if you are using LightSpeed to generate SQL scripts, or if you are saving failed inserts to be run manually at a later time) and we will see whether we can come up with something. If on the other hand you are seeing problems with saving data from LightSpeed then could you provide us with an (ideally simplified) SQL schema and LightSpeed class that reproduce the problem and we will look into it. Also, please let us know which version of SQL CE you are running. Thanks! |
