The vs2005 solution complains that ---------------------------

Hello Bjorn, We switched the LightSpeed codebase to C# 3 during the late 1.2 timeframe. Therefore late 1.2 nightlies contain VS2008 / C# 3 source only (and the inclusion of the -2005 projects is an error). If you need to build using VS2005 then you will need to revert to an earlier nightly. Note that even as a VS2008 project LightSpeed still targets .NET 2.0 so this will not force you to upgrade your target machines to .NET 3.5. Alternatively, if you just want to use a different version of the MySQL DLL, could you do this with a binding redirect rather than a recompile? |

Hi Ivan! OK. Still, if I want to recompile using vs2008, there is a project missing and there is no vs2008 solution included. Is it possible to fix this? And where can I get earlier nightly builds? Thank you Björn Andersson |

It turns out that the UnsafeMethods project is not required for late 1.2 nightlies (8 March 2008 and onward). We folded the functionality into the Framework project but forget to remove the reference from the solution file shipped with Enterprise Edition. You can just remove it from the solution and it will build okay. Regarding a VS2008 solution file, if you load the VS2005 solution into VS2008, the conversion wizard will handle this automatically (you may want to take a backup first). Again, you can safely remove the UnsafeMethods project from the solution, either before or after the conversion. |
