Hello! Can you make forum category named General (for things not related directly to your products)? As far I can see this is CommunityServer (correct if I'm wrong) but I dont see option to get notifications from topics marked as watched (I dont see this option either). My request: Can You enable notifications here? Thanks EDIT: Ok notifications are working :) but what about topics which are interesting to me but I was not participating in them? |

Hi Webio, A general forum is something we have toyed with the idea of for sometime - it's just a question of if it would get used as it looks bad when you're checking out a companies site and they ahve very inactive forums (I'm pretty happy with how busy the LightSpeed one is!). I will look at creating one in a couple of days as a trial. For the time being, you have worked out how to get notifications but here's how to get them for all threads.
The reason this works is because even a new thread is a post. The only annoyance at the moment is that you would need to go into each forum you want notifications for (e.g. if you were also interested in updates on the WPF Property Grid you would need to repeat this step in that forum). I hope that helps, let me know if you have any other questions. Thanks, John-Daniel |

http://www.mindscape.co.nz/forums/Forum.aspx?ForumID=17 We now have a general forum to trial - if it gets used we'll look to keep it. Thanks for the suggestion :-) John-Daniel |
