In my processing of Inheritance I have an entity with a GUID Id that I inherit from. On one of the inherited members I made a One(inherited entity) to Many association to another Entity and my problem is that the foreign key field generated in the associated entity is of type INT and not of Type GUID

Thanks for reporting this issue. We have reproduced the problem and are working on a fix. In the meantime, you can work around it by explicitly setting the Identity Type of the derived entity to Guid. |

I never thought of that. I was just looking at the GUI and where it usually tells you the Id type is has the base class instead. I didnt realize you still have options in the Properties window Thanks alot |

I've now committed a fix for this: the foreign key will now pick up the identity type of the base class without you needing to repeat it in the derived class. Will be available in nightly builds dated 14 Nov 2008 and above. |
