If not, when do you expect to support the latest Sql Server? |
|

Hi, Yes LightSpeed supports SQL Server 2008. One thing that is not supported however is native support for the new SQL 2008 data types (spatial types for example). Let me know if this level of database support is adequate for your needs. I hope that help, John-Daniel

John-Daniel Does the new Version 3 support the SQL 2008 data types? Dan |

Hi Dan, Yes, LightSpeed 3.0 supports the new SQL 2008 data types (new datetime types, spatial types etc) when using the SqlServer2008 provider (as opposed to SqlServer2005). If you are using one of the CLR based types (e.g. geometry, geography..) make sure you have a reference to the Microsoft.SqlServer.Types assembly in your model project, or if you are using a custom CLR data type make sure you have the appropriate assembly referenced.
