I have worked with several different ORM some while now for .NET, specially NHIbernate. I could mention Entity Framework to, but I my experience about it is that EF is not yet mature and it is not flexible and fast enough. After have worked with LightSpeed now like 80-90% of every hour I have spent infront of the computer since Thursday (usally working 12-18 hours everyday) I have started to really love it. Not only is it fast and have lot of nice features, "the plumbing and hacking" is almost gone! I like NHibernate, and with CodeSmith it is really nice. But I think the documentation is not the best plus it generate a "lot of plumbing" and that is not positive in this times... I will give Mindscape credit not only for LightSpeed, but also for the fast feedbacks when you have questions and ideas etc :-) Keep up the good work!: |

yeap, I agree. Although having some problems with different v1 the last year, the support has been great. And v2 looks really promising. I'd love to see a comparison in a blog post if you have one at your disposal and if you have time.

. It's in my pipe to write a summary of thoughts of ~1 years utilisation of Lightspeed in my own blog, but fortunatly Lightspeed was my first hand pick as a first ORM to use. I've had some collegues having had huge problems NHibernate (circular references as I can recall it) but I would love to read an independent comparison (Curiousity. We will not swap!).
