Hi, We want to access an Oracle 11 database with the ODP.net managed driver. Does Lightspeed support the ODP.net managed driver? We are using:
Thnx |

Yes we have a provider targeting ODP.net - it is listed as Oracle9Odp. Unless there is a particular compatibility issue with the version of the driver you are using this should work fine. You will also likely need to add a binding redirect in your configuration to target the newer driver version as we have compiled against an earlier version of ODP.net. Here is a note in the docs about setting up the binding redirect: http://www.mindscapehq.com/documentation/lightspeed/Working-with-Database-Providers/Oracle

Hi Jeremy, I was refering to the fully managed odp.net driver. Along with the traditional driver you can now use a fully managed 100% .net code odp.net driver. http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/topics/dotnet/index-085163.html
I tried your suggested solution, but without success. |

Right, it looks like this is a different assembly to what we are currently supporting. Ill add an item to our backlog to look at adding a new driver based on this.
