Hello, I am using the express version of LightSpeed trying to see if it is a good fit for our solution. I was able to create my model and map the tables. I also created a controller class and want to create a strongly typed view for that controller. When I Open the Add View Dialog and I select my entity to base the view on and click Add I get the following exception: The located Assembly manifest definition does not match the assembly reference. All my co-workers get that exception as well.... Do u have any suggestions. It is essential that we are able to use the scaffolding that comes with ASP.Net MVC since that will save us tons of time. Thanks Susan

Hi Susan, We have done a lot with the MVC framework but not with the new scaffolding features so I'll take a look into this. In the mean time - do you get any additional information with this exception in the output or error windows? Have you done an in-place upgrade of an earlier version of the MVC Framework? I've spied some posts around the place where this exception occurred because an older version of the Abstractions and Routing assemblies were bound to the project. If you had a simple re-pro handy that would also be super handy :-) Kind regards, John-Daniel Trask |

Hi John, I sent u an e-mail with the project attached to it and some steps to reproduce. I installed the MVC after I removed the previous version of MVC that I had on my PC. I also sent u an e-mail with a screen capture of the exception. Susan |

Hi Susan, As an update, I have setup a new project using the latest MVC bits and when adding a view for a given model class I get an exception but a different one to the one you see. I get: A strongly named assembly is required There is a heap of other information in there but basically it looks like the the templates for ASP.NET MVC are failing to run. I'll keep digging but I just wanted to update you. John-Daniel Trask |

Hi Susan, I've just emailed you a response but I'll add something here as well for anyone else browsing. This is an issue with the current drop of the ASP.NET MVC framework and is impacting several O/R Mappers, not just LightSpeed. There seems to be quite a few people having issues so I hope that it gets resolved in the near future. I've emailed Phil Haack just to lodge some more support for resolving the issue (I'm sure it was already on the list but it can't hurt to ask again). For more information in the Microsoft ASP.NET forums: Unfortunately there doesn't appear to be anything we can do to resolve this issue in the short term. John-Daniel Trask |
