Since installing VS 2013 I've been having trouble getting the .css files to minify properly. I tested this morning it will minify SCSS file properly but I don't wish to use SCSS at this time. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I have MVC 4, ELMAH packages, Fizzler, Jquery, Json.NET, Web pages, Razor, Kevin |

Thanks for reporting this - it looks like the underlying VS content type which we use to hook on has changed in VS2013 Update 1 and we had not picked up on this. Ive added a fix and this will be available in the next nightly build.

Jeremy, It looks like the normal js files are also having this unfortunate issue. They will not minify. Whatever change you made on Nightly build for Mar 27 seems to have fixed the css minification, thank you! Kevin |

This sounds similar to http://www.mindscapehq.com/forums/thread/1733487 - I am not currently able to reproduce this though. Are you able to send through a small repro project (e.g. Does it do this in a brand new project with a single JavaScript file?)

|
|
Yes, it does. I just created a brand new project and it is doing the same thing with just plain vanilla js files. Not using includes or coffee script. Kevin |

I just installed WebGrease and ANTLR3 in my web project and both the css and js files will now minify! Are these packages requirements for Web Workbench? Kevin |
|
|
No, neither are required but this may indicate that there is another extension you have installed which might be affecting this as the load order of extensions is random so adding in some new extensions may have triggered a change in this regard. What other extensions do you have installed?

Packages are: ActionMailer, ANTLRv3, ELMAH Core, ELMAH on SQL Server, Elmah.MVC, EntityFramework, JQuery VS 2010 Intellisense, JSON.NET, Microsoft ASP.NET MVC 4, Microsoft ASP.NET Razor 2, Microsoft ASP.NET Web Pages 2, Microsoft.Web.Infrastructure, Modernizr, WebGrease |

Thanks - unfortunately Im still unable to reproduce this so we are not sure what the underlying issue is here. Are you able to reproduce this on another machine?

Hey Jeremy! Unfortunately I don't have another machine nor the time to spin up another build to test this. Right now it is working. I'll continue to watch and report anything new I may find. Kevin |

This was back to not working again this morning. This is very frustrating. However, I just changed setting to add combined file as well and it worked that time when I saved. Weird. Hope this helps you find issue. |
