Using VS2008, SQL Server 2005 and LightSpeed 2.2
When I drag a stored procedure onto the designer I get the following exception:
"Exception while processing Server Explorer drag: System.Data.SqlClient.SqlException: Could not find stored procedure 'GetSwitchInfo'."
I tried creating a SelectProcedure from the tool box and go the same complaint when I tried running it (using standard unit of work etc). When I added the schema name onto the front of ProcedureName (so it was now "PSTN.GetSwitchInfo") it ran happily, so it looks like the designer is not recognising the schema. I tried switching the server explorer to Schema View and selected the proc that way, but still got the same error.
Cheers,
Matt.

Thanks for letting us know about this. I have committed a fix for the SQL Server case and this will be included in nightly builds dated 9 Apr 2009 and above, available from about 1430 GMT. Please let us know if you still see the problem. Note that you do, as you have figured out, need to provide the schema prefix on Procedure Name if the sproc is not in the default schema. With the drag and drop fix, the designer will do this for you, but if you are creating a procedure query by hand you will still need to do this yourself. |
