Hi, I'm trying to run: var query= from s in _uow.Items I'm getting the following exception: Encountered System.NotSupportedException while trying to process command:
Obviously GroupBy's are not supported right now in LightSpeed. Is there any chance they will be supported sometime in the future? Is there a subset for this query that I could run that would "become supported"? |

Hi, Group By and other such features that are not handled by LightSpeed 2.2 will be included in LightSpeed 3.0. We're currently working as fast as possible to get to a beta testable version which should be available around mid year. If the result set it small, you could pull it back without the grouping and then group in memory with LINQ to Objects. Alternatively you could look at bundling your query into a stored procedure and returning the results via a stored procedure call? We're hearing loud and clear the need for the functions we don't support and therefore they are at the top of the priority list for 3.0. I hope that helps and thanks for your feedback. John-Daniel Trask |

Thanks, I've indeed gone and split the query into two parts and it naturally works fine. Looking forward to testing out group-by's... Should queries like I've asked about work? Will nested group-by's work? |
