Hi, I saw the talks about the product at Code Camp this past weekend and I am about to play around with the trial version before making a purchase. Is there an example to follow with best practice for an asp.net 3-tier type app? I have been working alot with LINQ -> SQL and it is ok, but it annoys me in a few areas so I am keen to compare. I read LightSpeed uses validation, and caching, does the example include that also. In the trial download there is a mvc example, but the model (DL) and BL are all included in the same project, which is different from what I want. Much appreciated Sam |

Hi Sam, I suspect what you are looking for is a more fully fledged guidance sample based on a real world implementation? If so, we dont really have one that we have released, rather we have formulated some of our samples off implementations we have done over the past few years. The BackgroundMotion sample is probably the closest to what you would be looking for - particularly if you dont want an MVC sample. That said, we are always happy to discuss architecture and design here if you wanted to work through your thinking - we are opinionated of course ;) Maybe it would help to discuss some of the specifics you were interested in first and we can give some example of those? You can also check out some of my thoughts on the ASP.NET MVC side of the world here: http://www.mindscape.co.nz/staff/jeremy/index.php/2009/03/aspnet-mvc-part3/ - that talks about the validation a bit (we have liked xVal as an intermediary between us and jQuery Validation). The general concepts should translate fine to ASP.NET - Im assuming you are using an MVP based approach?
