Is there a way to have custom Data Types for Entity Properties? I do have a work around but I have to use implicit conversion in the custom Type to Get around the DTO generated Code (and possibly runtime problems) |

Not in the LightSpeed 2 designer, I'm afraid. We're hoping to get this into the LightSpeed 3 designer (one of the motivating cases being SQL Server 2008 geographic types) but I can't make any promises. We should however probably look at an option to exclude properties from DTO generation so that you could do the DTO copying in the partial method rather than having to use an implicit conversion. |
