I might be daft, but i just can't work out how to restyle the connection points in the node graph. Everything else seems to have a formatter/selector, but the DiagramNodeElement style which defines the ConnectionThumb template (and hence the style) seems to be statically assigned well within the bowels of the mindscape code. Any idea where i should look? to be clear: i want to apply my own version of the "ConnectionPointStyle". I have my own surface, i have my own connections. I have my own nodes - all those styles i've managed to get working. |

Indeed connection points are one of the more tricky components to apply a style to. For starters, have a read of this blog: http://www.mindscape.co.nz/blog/index.php/2009/09/29/wpf-diagrams-styling-a-node-element/ For connection points... Finally, to tell the DiagramSurface to use this node style, you will need to write some xaml in your style like the following: Note that 'NodeStyle' here is the name of the style seen in the blog. 'FixedStyleSelector' will apply this style to all types of nodes on the DiagramSurface. (Other selectors can be used that will allow different types of nodes to have a different style which allows for different connection point styles etc) Try this out and let me know if you can't get it working or if there is something that I havn't explained very well or might have missed out. Thanks! The BlahStyleSelector bit was the critical link i was missing. You might want to consider applying this in one of the shipped samples since it's obviously a very powerful tip. -d |
