Hi, My LS context is against an Oracle db and this is specified both in my modal and in my web.config file. I have a date field on my entity and when it validates it LS throws an error "[date] must be between 1/1/1753 12:00:00 AM and 12/31/9999 11:59:59 PM".. this is date range limit is SQL server limit. Not Oracle. In oracle the minimum date possible is 01/01/0001. So far the only work around is to cancel LS validation and let it hit the db. It passes through on the db, no errors returned from oracle. PLEASE HELP. thanks. |

Thanks for reporting this, I have updated the rule used for Oracle date validation and this will now use DateTime.MinValue as the minimum value allowed. In practice however the minimum value that will pass the validation rule will be DateTime.MinValue.AddSecond(1) as we use DateTime.MinValue as a magic value to represent no value for rule checking purposes. This update will be available in the next nightly build for you.
