Given the following query, I get the exception below. If I don't perform the calculation on the Cost field, the Sum() works fine. As a workaround, I can foreach through the list and get the sum manually, but I sure like the code as I wrote here better. :) Any chance this will get fixed? Thanks. var uow = Global.LightSpeedContext.CreateUnitOfWork(); failed: Mindscape.LightSpeed.LightSpeedException : Aggregate member is not an attribute which is derived from a LightSpeed entity |

Thanks for reporting this. It will be fixed in the next drop. Please note there are still some limitations on calculations (which includes all LINQ aggregates). In particular, you won't be able to combine calculations with traversals. This limitation is unlikely to be relaxed in the near future. |

This fix is now available for download. We're still working on the groups/traversals issue. |

I'll check it out, but right now the download page is still showing the 11/9 build. I'll keep my eye on it. But the traversal/grouping issue is the big ticket one for me right now. ;-) |

Something very similar is happening since I upgraded from 3.1.1891.14711 to 3.1.2616.16834.
A query that does calculations in the projected column results in this stack trace:

Can you provide repro code? Your example from the first post is still working for me. Thanks! |
