Hi, Working on an application which has a few stored procedures and a couple of these have decimal output parameters. Yesterday, I replaced a DIY database repository (which is behind a web service) and tests started to fail. After some digging I found the problem was the decimal values coming back from the sproc were being truncated. I then realised that I hadn't set the scale & precision of the decimal parameters. I must be missing something but where in the design environment can I set the scale and precision of a decimal sproc parameter? Thanks Bryn |

Hi Bryn, No - you are not missing anything - currently there isn't any way of specifying this. I have however added in some support to allow this since its needed for decimal output parameters. I am just waiting for this to go through the verification process on our build servers but all going well I should be able to get this in for tonights nightly build. Failing that it should be in early next week. Will keep you posted :)

Hi Jeremy, Tiny tiny little thing... In the build from the 13th Jan(black friday build) In the stored proc parameter Properties form the is some help text display in the bottom of the form. For the Scale & Precision columns it is "Description for MindscapeLightSpeed.Generator.Intergation...." unlike the other parameters which have something helpful. The new decimal support seems to be working just fine. Thanks Bryn |
