in the 3.0 beta designer i don't see SqlServer2008 as a drop down option on Database Provider, but it seems I do see an option to select Geo property types when I choose SqlServer2005 is this expected? regards daren |

Yes, this is expected. The designer doesn't distinguish between SQL Server 2005 and SQL Server 2008, and doesn't offer a separate 2008 option. However, in order to use the SQL Server 2008 geographic types at runtime, you must set the LightSpeedContext.DataProvider to SqlServer2008. Geographic data types are not enabled if you use the 2005 provider at runtime. If you are using the configuration generated by the designer Get Started command, you will need to update this from SqlServer2005 to SqlServer2008. |
