I cant seem to get LS4 running on mono 2.10.5 on Ubuntu 11.10 Desktop I resolved all the normal issues by adding the .DLL's system.data.services & system.data.services.client I also copied system.web.entity from windows (it wanted that) and I still get the following error. I tried to use the compatibility DLL but then it crashes with an error saying that
public System.Linq.IQueryable Please give me an easy to follow instruction list to get LS4 running under mono. regards Anthony Smith Could not load file or assembly 'System.Data.Services.Client, Version=3.5.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=b77a5c561934e089' or one of its dependencies. Hi Anthony, We currently only support the compatibility build under Mono. This build targets .NET 2.0 so this means that you cannot use the LINQ provider (Mindscape.LightSpeed.Linq) which is the issue you are running into with the lack of the Query method being available on your typed UOW instances. A number of people have previously commented though that either copying across the Windows binaries for System.Data.Services/System.Data.Services.Client or symlinking System.Data.Services.Client which is GAC'ed in Mono resolves the actual load issue but we make no promises that it will work so I would suggest you use the compatibility build if possible.
