When using OData, Entity Framework provides _contextProvider.Metadata() to respond to ~/breeze/Zza/Metadata from breeze JS. What is the equivalent code snippet when using Lightspeed ORM? Thank you. |

What information does it need to return? You can "reflect" on the model for an entity type using the Metadata API as required - http://www.mindscapehq.com/documentation/lightspeed/Working-with-Metadata/The-LightSpeed-Metamodel

That doesn't answer the question. For OData, in Entity Framework, _contextProvider.Metadata() returns a serialized string that tells OData all about the data schema in a format that OData recognizes. So the question is: Does Lightspeed support OData and provide an equivalent to _contextProvider.Metadata() ? |

|
No, we dont have any specific current support for OData and there isnt an existing method to cover what you are after.

As a longtime customer, I'd like to use LightSpeed on the backend of an app I'm currently developing with Breeze and Xamarin, but I haven't heard much about progress in the product recently, despite the industry's continuing advancement. Can you give me an idea of whether or not this feature (or any integration with other frameworks or standards, whether it be OData or Portable Class Libraries) will be coming up? |

No we are not intending to add an equivalent method as above and in terms of OData more generally we dont have anything new planned. For Portable Class Libraries, we specifically only target the full runtime due to our use of a wide variety of ADO.NET providers so this isn't something we have looked at.
