It would be useful to have 1 model, but multiple diagrams, so it's a little bit less overwhelming to look at the massive diagram all the time. Or, am I doing this wrong? :-) |

Unfortunately VS2008 does not support easily support this -- we believe VS2010 may open this up but have not yet investigated. In the meantime check out: http://www.mindscape.co.nz/blog/index.php/2009/05/11/navigating-around-models-in-the-lightspeed-designer/ http://www.mindscape.co.nz/blog/index.php/2009/05/26/sub-views-in-the-lightspeed-designer/ http://www.mindscape.co.nz/blog/index.php/2009/05/27/visualising-eager-load-graphs-in-the-lightspeed-designer/ which may reduce the overwhelmingness a bit. |

Thanks for the tip. I ended up giving each table 1 or more tag, depending on which database diagram they are in my corresponding SQL Server database diagram. May I suggest having a dropdown check list of tags used, maybe as a toolbar above the designer? So we could quickly flip back-and-forth between view :-) |
