Hi guys, Would like to have an easier way to select multiple entities at once. Ctrl+A doesn't really work as it select everything including associations. This would be quite handy when applying changes to property across many entities at once. Cheers Joseph |

Hi Joseph, Could you say a bit more about your use case? You can do multiple select with Ctrl+Click or marquee drag (though I think the latter also picks up associations), so I assume you're after something more general where you don't have to pick out individual entities... what's the specific multiple selection that you want to be able to conveniently achieve? |

Hi Ivan, I have been dividing up the model for navigational ease by tagging each entity according to its database schema. It would have been easier for me to be able say do something like: 1) Change the tag filter to the schemas I want to work on. 2) Ctrl+A then Ctrl+E to select all the entities (just as an example, might be better way to do this) 3) Then apply all the changes to these entities at once. I can't remember which application, but I did saw an application that can cycle through Ctrl+A to get different type of selections or double click on something to let me quickly select things of the same type :-) Hope this clarify my post. It also occurred to me that a toolbar that contains a list of tags you used in your model presented as checked button would be very handy. With this, I could quickly show/hide different combination of tags. As a sidenote, there seems to be a synchronize problem with the existing filter toolbar. |
