I have an older project that was created under a different license with a previous company. I'm trying to load that project up and the model designer writes the above error to the model.cs code file and doesn't emit the full entities. We have a license for the full LS ver4+source and that's what I have installed. I saw how to Activate a license in the Upgrade guide, but that option doesn't appear on this model when I open the designer. I've updated the references to point to the bin directory of the LS install, but that didn't have any effect. |

It looks like you've got the Express edition of the designer installed. The 'limited' (Express) and full (Professional) editions of LightSpeed are physically separate builds. Make sure you download the build from the store (which is Professional), not the Downloads page (which is Express). You can verify the edition by right-clicking the Mindscape.LightSpeed.dll file in the install folder, choosing Properties > Details and checking the product name -- this contains the edition info. |

No, I have the professional edition installed, its ver 4.0.1177.19892. I actually have 2 projects open side by side, both in VS2010 Ultimate, both with models open. The newer one works just fine, the older one is the one with the error. |

Oh I guess I should note that the newer one that works fine has far more entities than the one that isn't generating properly. |

That's weird. The only thing I can think of is that the older project was last regenerated using Express, and you haven't yet made any changes that would force it to regenerate. (We only regenerate when the model has actually changed.) Try dragging an entity a couple of pixels sideways then saving the .lsmodel file. |

Ok, I got it. I manually changed the project file. The |
