How can I specify a different installtion path for Lightspeed? We need to have a common installation path across all our developers. One of them uses 64 bit Windows 7 and Lightspeed installs in Program Files (x86) rather than the standard Program Files. Thanks. |

We do not support custom install paths. I assume you need this because you want project references to the LightSpeed DLLs to be portable across machines. The recommended approach for this is to copy the LightSpeed DLLs to a project libraries directory (conventionally known as Lib, Third Party, Assemblies or something like that) and include that directory in source control. (This also helps with versioning.) Then your project references will be relative paths and will be portable across machines. Although the designer by default references the LightSpeed DLLs at the install location, if you reference them manually at your project location then the designer will respect this. If you've got another reason for needing to have the same installation path across machines, let us know and we'll see what we can do or suggest. |
