Hi Folks, When dragging tables onto the designer, underscores are removed from column names - This is proving a bit tricky since all our tables, views and ref cursors contain underscores in the coloumn names. How do we tell the designer to leave column names alone? :-) cheers, Simon. |

You don't. The .NET convention is to use PascalCasing rather than underscores, so LightSpeed always tries to force names to the PascalCasing convention. However, this shouldn't be a problem, because it should also be remembering the original column name and mapping the to that column name. Select one of the renamed properties, go to the Properties box, and check the Column Name setting: this should have the original database column name in it. We did have a bug with this at one point so it may be worth upgrading to the nightly build if this isn't working. If it still doesn't work with a recent nightly, could you provide us with an example CREATE TABLE statement and let us know which database you're working with, so we can try to reproduce the problem? Thanks! |
